SYNOPSIS

A story of a friendship that develops between Ben, a sensitive bookkeeper and Tamar, a down to earth married woman.
Tamar, who is intrigued by Ben's unusual personality and zany humor, wants to understand why Ben can not touch and can not be touched by anyone. The film has very subtle humor. In one of the first scenes Ben says: "My parents didn't want to have any children.
I don't take it personally - they didn't know me at the time"...

REVIEWS

The film “Ben’s Biography” is one of the most powerful and fascinating films I’ve seen lately.
It combines condensed and rich elements of tragic loneliness, grotesque existence, and a fantastic sense of humor – “black humor”, bitter humor, crazy humor and delicate humor full of pain and compassion.

Amos OZ

A gem of a film. An amazing sense of humor allows him to effectively bring to life a complex character that is ultimately seeking what we all seek without being aware of it.

Woman’s Era – India

The feeling is of a Woody Allen film, but this is no New York neurotica, it has real pain underneath.
Do yourself a favor: go see it.

Carl Hoffman “Jerusalem Post”

Dan Wolman is a multi – talented director. A story told with cynicism and humor, it showcases the outwardly awkward yet painful existence of Ben. This is done in such a manner that you empathize with the man, you understand him but never pity him.
The film carries the mark of a truly sensitive director.

 “Alive” – India

… Dan Wolman has made one of the funniest, most endearing, most disturbing – feature films screened at this year’s Cinefan Festival.

Shougat Dasgupta,“Today”, New Delhi   26 July 2004

… Meanwhile, we would be grateful if someone could get Wolman’s protagonist, the terrific Gal Zaid, to train the Capital’s actors for a few days…

Sumati Mehrishi , THE PIONEER”, New Delhi  26 July 2004

Dan Wolman’s new, surprising and disturbing film. Gal Zaid is terrific, Gani Tamir is very good too.

Uri Klien, “HA’ARETZ”

The big surprise was Dan Wolman’s “Ben’s Biography”.The veteran director has made sensitive films before, but never has he made me laugh as I’ve laughed here… Gal Zaid is fantastic.

Yael Shuv “TIME OUT”

A film full with compassion

“Aims”

“Ben”us intelligent, flowing, entertaining with some extremely brilliant scenes.
